This celebratory gathering is the real life Shining Unschooling Community that you may be longing for…and the Source of its Shine is YOU (yes!...each and every one of you!)!
This is a conference unlike any other (just ask those who were Shining in Niagara Falls in 2009!). We are so happy to be offering it to you, so that you can gather with other Shining unschoolers and share in the Joy and the glorious, uplifting, validating and empowering feeling of being a part of a REAL life community who understands.
We do not over-market, over-post to lists, or over-sell this conference. It is not our goal to attain as many registrations as possible (in fact, attendance is limited at this conference). Our ONLY goal is to create a real-life *Shine with Unschooling* community.
We want you to have the space and time to interact with other unschoolers who inspire you, whose children you actually like and enjoy being around, and whose relationships with their own children offer you Hope for your tomorrows... We hope that you garner from those connections what you need/desire for your own life (offering, in turn, your own Shine as inspiration for others).
It is therefore our goal to create the Sacred Space that is necessary in the allowing of True Be-ing, Deep Connections and Infinite Possibilities!!

And in order to achieve that, we have chosen to limit the number of registrations so as not to overwhelm you...we want to keep this conference small, personal and make sure that it is as Shining as possible.
We have no room at our conference for families who believe that unschooling is unparenting... It Is Not. Shining families who are welcome to attend this Celebratory Conference know that unschooling means being a Joyful, active partner in your child's life.
We Shine began as the real-life manifestation of my Vision that has been created by the Shine with Unschooling community. Those who are a part of that community understand the celebratory and respectful energy that is there...and this conference is an extension of that. Even if you are not a part of the Shine community, you are also welcome to come and share your LIGHT with us, if you feel our goals are in alignment with your unschooling lives.
This gathering is also the product of the Vision, Organization, Negotiations, and Life's Energy contributed by me, Anne Ohman, and my wonderful friends, co-moderators and co-owners of the Shine with Unschooling community (and overall Brilliant Shiny Peeps): Pam Laricchia, Anna Brown and Tracy Thornburg. A zillion thank you's are not enough for their commitment and work...not only to this gathering, but to the overall Joyful, Informative, Personal and Empowering energy that they contribute, adding immensely to the Value of the Shine community.

Lastly, it is a great honor that you even consider spending your family's life's energy to be with us. We thank you deeply. We all know that it's not always easy. We've been to conferences before that have not felt completely right, that have felt like we were hijacking our family's vacation time, and where we have ended up staying in the hotel room after investing a great deal of money and life's energy.
BUT...if you are drawn to our mission statement, our post script, our goals and Visions for this gathering, then we do believe that you are walking in exactly the right direction for your family. This conference is different. And we are honored that you want to be here with us, for it is one of the greatest pleasures in my life to have the opportunity to better know more Shining Unschooling families who are respectful of their children's hearts and Voices.
So let's get the party started!! Read all that there is to read, and Set the Vision and Intention for YOU and your family to BE THERE, if it is, indeed, in the flow of your lives...!!
